ANYHOW PASTE KENA FINE

Seen these around?

They were the brainchild(ren) of an artist that goes by the moniker SKL0. (Photos from her tumblr.) Just found out that she was behind this brilliance today. And there I was, thinking it was some pretty cool gahmen initiative. Anyway, today she suay suay tio liak (kena caught).

(Guess our gahmen really not so cool.)

Granted it's illegal - "The case is classified as Vandalism under Section 3 of the Vandalism Act, Chapter 341. A person who is convicted for the offence shall be punished with a fine not exceeding $2000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding to 3 years and shall be liable to caning."

Knowing our country, a law is a law is a law, we just follow law. and examples have to be made.

BUT STILL, She stirred something up in us Singaporeans. Injected a little humor in our otherwise blah lives. Gave us something to smile about. She's the reason why "MY GRANDFATHER ROAD" is trending on Twitter right now. People identify, people enjoy, people sarkpork.

At most tio fine and give warning lah...

Anyway. Good luck, SKL0. If you ever read this. Respect.

I don't think she has any regrets.

In fact, she could've seen it coming.

Download her stuff here - http://skl0.tumblr.com/download. There, you will also find the infamous LIMPEH sticker. Go on, stick them all over the Internet - mai ham, you won't kena jail or fine.

I do not photosynthesize.

I get a bath of sunlight every weekday.

You see, there are three huge glass window panels adjacent to where I'm sitting. By right, they should all be fitted with blinds. I mean, they all are. Just that the one that's directly adjacent to me has blinds that are broke (ie cannot be pulled down).

The angle of the sun in the morning, the way the window panel is framed, and the height of the window panel - all these factors line up by some sort of divine appointment, to direct sunlight, directly on me. Woe, what have I done to deserve a natural spotlight / a halo of warmth around me?

It is, at times, irritating and glaring. But I shall think the better of it. It's God's way of telling me to wake up, because it's a beautiful day, every day.

Hong Kong Octopus Card

So, I went bonkers lor when I saw Felicia's Octopus Cards (octopi?)... they're something like EZLink cards, except they have way cool limited edition collaborations with designers / brands, and they can be used for anything - including paying for your parking lot, your groceries at supermarkets or even fast food.

LOOK!

and some others I found at their official site:

SUUUUPER JELLY!!!!

I don't care so much about the increased functionality (yet...)(I think we will eventually get there lah), but HOW COME OUR EZLINK CARDS NOT SO CHIO? I guess SMRT just doesn't care too much about making the ezlink card fashionable :<

wehh. so normal. so ugly.

random rant.

sometimes, i don't understand people.

well i guess sometimes, people don't understand me either.

i wish it could all be simple. like we all had a huge billboard on our foreheads that displayed our honest thoughts. and yes, that could screw things up because someone could be thinking that you're a bitch but at least you'd know the true reason why and maybe you could explain why you acted that way, assuming it was a misunderstanding, if not, then perhaps you deserved that accusation and you could reflect upon it and be a nicer person.

i also wish singaporeans could be a little more considerate.

i don't understand why they can't. does it cost a lot of money? does it make your life any harder?

in this week, i've had my carpark lot snatched away from me even though i was there first, and i stared at that driver in utter disbelief, jaw agape and all. but no, he drove into the lot, not even batting an eyelid, not even staring at me, but in all selfishness. it was like he was so proud to claim it. to have had the driving prowess to zoom right into it.

also, a few times, when i, out of pure courtesy and regard for safety, signalled to change lanes, the car, which was driving at a steady rate that was perfect for me to slip into that lane, accelerated!! so! that! he! could! stop! me! from! CHANGING LANES! >:(

fosrsly?

i have also seen some singaporeans lash out at service staff and giving them a hard time, just because they could enjoy that brief moment of superiority that they don't usually get. i hate it when that happens! can't we just forgive the little things?

IS IT SO HARD TO BE NICE, and KIND, and COURTEOUS and CONSIDERATE????
